Welcome to Hacks Country, your friendly local equestrian and country store based in Saltash, Cornwall. From our shop — and now our online store, open 24/7 — we provide riders and horse owners with everything they need, from feed and bedding to tack, supplements, horsewear, rider clothing, safety equipment, and more.

Hacks Country is run by Nicola, whose life has always revolved around horses. Nicola began riding as a child and went on to study Equine Studies at Chelmsford College at just 16. Her passion quickly became her profession, leading her to spend five years in Dubai working as a showjumping rider. Over the years, she has competed across disciplines including show jumping, dressage, and cross country, and still enjoys the thrill of hunting with bloodhounds — a sport she values for the enjoyment it brings both horses and hounds, with no foxes involved.

Back in the UK, Nicola now lives in Plymouth with her partner and their young son, Oscar, who already features regularly in the background of life at Hacks on our Facebook page. Alongside her horse Carlos — who she continues to compete with — Nicola’s equestrian lifestyle and wealth of experience are at the heart of everything we do as a business.

By taking on Hacks Country, Nicola saw an opportunity to blend her lifelong passion with serving the local equestrian community. Her goal is simple: to provide riders with quality products at fair prices, supported by genuine, lived experience.

We’re proud to stock not only leading names such as NAF, Equine America, Woof Wear, and Toggi, but also carefully chosen products from smaller independent suppliers. Supporting small businesses and encouraging our customers to shop local is something we truly believe in.

And for those times you can’t make it to the store, we also offer a feed and bedding delivery service straight to your door.
